Comparing coefficient method

Here is the comparing coefficient method.
If you have any queries, please post in the comments.

Tips for the coming common test

1. Complete the TYS questions which I assigned.

These are typical questions which are very popular. I bet the common test question on quadratic problem sum will be similar.

I will post the solutions here on Sunday night. You may check your steps here.
Bear in mind that I will be collecting the HW for checking and there will be consequences for not being responsible in your own learning. I can only show you teh way. You have to slay your own dragon.

2. Look at the corrections for Block test one, pay special attention to the new steps(which I said were Miss Tay's steps) in rewriting a quadratic expression as A(x-B)^2+C. This method is also called comparing coefficient. I am sure you can find some questions in the TYS which will allow you to practise this method.

3. Practise inputing data into your calculator. Learn how to analyse and compare mean and SD and the implications. e.g. if mean is same, SD1>SD2, what does it imply?
Look at examples from your textbook and class notebooks.

And.....bring workbook on Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!! please spread this message if you happen to see it!
